Deposits
Clear guidance on deposit protection, deductions and the end-of-tenancy process.
All tenant deposits are protected in a government-approved tenancy deposit scheme in accordance with current legislation. We handle the registration process and provide the required documentation to the tenant within the legal timeframe.
The tenant’s deposit is typically equivalent to five weeks’ rent, in line with current legislation for most tenancies.
If there are damages, unpaid rent, or breaches of the tenancy agreement at the end of the tenancy, we can assist you in making a claim against the deposit. Any proposed deductions must be supported by evidence such as inventories, inspection reports, photographs, or invoices.
Compliance & Regulations
Understand the key legal requirements, safety checks and responsibilities involved in letting a property.
Landlords are responsible for complying with current legislation, including gas safety, electrical safety, EPC requirements, smoke alarms, and Right to Rent regulations. We can help guide you through these requirements.
We can help landlords stay compliant with ongoing legal requirements, including safety certificates, inspections, and legislative updates relevant to rented properties.
It is a legal requirement for landlords to have a valid EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) before their property is let. An EPC measures the energy efficiency of a property using a scale of A-G and is valid for 10 years. We can arrange an EPC for you.
